Barcelona 6000 Años de Historia (‘Barcelona 6000 Years of History’) is a social science outreach project of the Archaeology of Social Dynamics research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), comprising several activities such as ludico-pedagogic visits to key neighbourhoods in Barcelona, which bring their own history closer to their neighbors; science outreach with puppets; cooking and catering performance; collaboration with their neighbourhood’s civic entities regarding festivities and people with special needs. LCATM partnered with the research group to highlight these activities through a complete audio-visual project comprising the fundraising, design, writing, direction, production, editing, and post-production of a series of five short documentaries (“Streets with history”, “Prehistory told with puppets”, “Cooking with history”, “In search of fire” and “How magical is history”, “We’re archaeologists!”).
“Fronteres del Coneixement” (‘Frontiers of Knowledge’) is a digital activity consisting in educational resources to explain concepts on frontier-research evolutionary biology to high school students.…
