“Ciència i Convivència” (‘Science and Society’) is a series of hands-on scientific workshops to promote the understanding of our environment as the origin of a set of tools that help us to thrive in today’s changing society. These workshops address scientifically some of the “challenges” of living in society, such as diversity, change, and migration, which are indeed some of the evolutionary strategies that have proven their advantages in nature. They not only empower society with knowledge but also promote scientific evidence as a tool for social cohesion.
LCATM has joined with the Laboratory of Evolutionary and Functional Genomics and the Municipality of Barcelona to design, fundraise, develop and teach these workshops in all the interested civic entities.
